The Dog Who Loved Socks
A family and vet have solved the mystery of what happened to the missing halves of all their pairs of socks. Doctors at DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital in Portland removed forty-three and a half socks from a very sick Great Dane. After the two-hour procedure, the vets reported that this was the strangest set of objects they had ever removed from any animal. This incident helped DoveLewis place third in the very real “They ate WHAT?” contest, which provided them with $500 to be donated to animals with low-income owners. Second prize went to a German Pointer who ate a shish kebab and first went to a frog that ate 30 small rocks from its cage. Does this make you feel better about that donut you ate?
